Domestic travel to NSW

In the year ending March 2025, there were 39.1 million domestic overnight visitors to NSW, who stayed 117.2 million nights and spent $30.8 billion.

Domestic overnight travel to NSW maintained an overall upward trend, despite a slight decline in the year ending March 2025.

Note: Domestic data has transitioned to the new Domestic Tourism Statistics (DoTS). Domestic overnight data is available, though with some limitations. Domestic daytrip data is unavailable and will be released from the year ending June 2025. Total NSW domestic figures will also be available from the year ending June 2025. Learn more here.
