Overview

The New Market Product Pathway offers NSW sellers subsidised access to Focus on North Asia 2024 (FONA24). This initiative supports businesses that are newly export-ready or new to the North Asia markets (China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and South Korea), enabling first time participation in a trade event targeted at these markets. The aim of supporting NSW businesses to attend FONA24 through a subsidy is to ensure a solid foundation in international distribution from which they can continue to build.

Program details

Each successful participant will receive a subsidy of $1320 AUD (including GST) with a maximum of 10 participants. This subsidy applies to the Focus on North Asia Seller Primary Delegate Package, valued at $2200 AUD (including GST).

By facilitating participation in FONA24, the New Market Product Pathway will enable newly export-ready or new to market visitor economy businesses to develop essential international buyer relationships. This program complements the NSW First Program, which helps businesses develop an inbound strategy, undertake seller training, and meet with ITOs and ground handlers.

The subsidy applies only to the FONA24 registration primary delegate fee. All other expenses, including the remaining application fee of $880 (including GST), flights, accommodation, and additional delegates, are at the expense of the applicant.
