The NSW Visitor Attraction Signposting Program has been operating since 1990 and is a partnership between Destination NSW and Transport for NSW that safely and efficiently guides visitors to destinations, attractions and services.

Visitor attraction signs have a brown background with white wording. The signs are installed on the state-managed road network in NSW to inform visitors of attractions and services available at a destination as well as indicate establishments, natural or physical attractions or places that are considered major attractions.

The program caters for the needs of visitors by implementing visitor signposting systems that safely and efficiently guide visitors to destinations and inform them of the range of attractions and services available.

Destination NSW has streamlined the process for tourism businesses and local councils to apply for visitor attraction signs, creating more opportunities for showcasing destinations in regional NSW.
