Caravan & Camping Industry Association NSW (CCIA NSW) CEO Lyndel Gray has announced she is stepping down after 13 years in the role.

CCIA NSW said: "Lyndel has been pivotal in establishing our reputation as the peak body for the caravan and camping, land lease living and manufactured housing industries in NSW.

"Her passionate and innovative approach has significantly improved our Supershow and regional Expos, and her partnership with Destination NSW has driven substantial growth for our sector.

"We thank Lyndel for her dedication and wish her every success in the future."

Ms Grey said: "I love this industry and it’s been an absolute pleasure to lead our talented team. There are still many opportunities for growth, but it’s time for me to hand over the reins."

The 2024 NSW Tourism Awards honoured Ms Gray with the Outstanding Contribution by an Individual Award.

NSW Tourism Association CEO Natalie Godward said: “With 37 years of tourism experience, including senior roles at Destination NSW and Tourism Australia, Lyndel has driven significant sector growth, led major initiatives such as Oprah Winfrey’s Sydney visit and is active in multiple tourism leadership roles.

"We’re thrilled to provide Lyndel with this recognition, as a much-respected mentor and role model in the industry.”

Ms Grey will continue to contribute to the visitor economy through various board positions, including Chair of Destination Sydney Surrounds South and Deputy Chair of Surfing NSW.

The CCIA NSW Board will now begin the recruitment process for a new CEO. Ms Grey's last day will be 2 May 2025.
