Acting Minister for Tourism and Major Events Katrina Hodgkinson said: “Our State is home to Australia’s best short break experiences and Your Guide to Regional NSW is a fantastic magazine that will help its readers to plan their ultimate getaway.”

“Your Guide to Regional NSW will be inserted into more than 2 million newspapers across Australia from this weekend and a further 280,000 inserted into New Zealand newspapers next week.

“The magazine profiles the State’s many wonderful food and wine trails including farm gates and markets, adventure activities and family fun, major events and even dog friendly beaches so the family pooch doesn’t miss out on a holiday either!

“Each region in the State has its own dedicated page in the magazine highlighting the unforgettable and unique experiences on offer for visitors. The State’s Regional Tourism Organisations have contributed to the content, providing a real grass-roots guide to the visitor experience.

“Copies of the magazine will also be available from Regional Visitor Information Centres and Holiday Parks across NSW and available to download from www.visitnsw.com/holiday-planners,” she said.

Destination NSW Chief Executive Officer Sandra Chipchase said Your Guide to Regional NSW was one of many dedicated regional campaigns promoting short breaks in NSW.

“Destination NSW is committed to working with industry to drive visitation to regional destinations. At present a new tactical campaign developed in collaboration with the Hunter Valley Wine & Tourism Association is promoting travel to the Hunter during Spring, with a wide range of accommodation and wine tasting packages starting from just $129,” Ms Chipchase said.

“In addition to our recent It’s On! In the Blue Mountains, Lord Howe Island Just Paradise’ and Snowy Mountains campaigns, it really is a wonderful time to snap up a deal and visit Regional NSW,” she said.
