Exclusive to Sydney, MTV Beats + Eats is a free event that will launch ARIA Week. Held at The Crescent in Parramatta Park on Saturday November 21, the event showcases Sydney’s trendiest boutique foodies alongside a line-up of local and international music acts including DJ Havana Brown.

Member for Parramatta Geoff Lee said Western Sydney represents one of Australia’s largest, fastest growing and most diverse economies.

“As Sydney’s second largest CBD, Parramatta is a vibrant centre of food, history and culture. I encourage everyone to visit this fantastic area this weekend for MTV’s first music and food festival,” he said.

Friday

4pm – Riverside Brewing Company

Head down to Riverside Brewing Company’s cellar door in North Parramatta, a craft brewery dedicated to brewing pure, natural, hand-crafted beers that are bursting with flavour and aroma whilst being additive and preservative free. All of Riverside’s range is available for tasting. Try their latest seasonal release sixty nine summer ale.

6pm – Port Bar

Roll on into the heart of Parramatta to Port Bar for a serene waterside dining experience on the banks of the Parramatta River. Dine al fresco and head upstairs to The Wine Deck & Cocktail Bar for a light snack and a tipple on the rooftop.

8pm – Riverside Theatre

Add some culture and music to your evening and make your way to Riverside Theatre for an evening of professional theatre, dance, opera or comedy. The theatre offers visitors the best of Sydney’s diverse entertainment calendar and is home to some of Sydney’s signature festivals including Sydney Festival, Sydney Writer’s Festival, The Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras and the Arab Film Festival.

10pm – Stay the night

Parramatta has accommodation that caters for groups, couples and solo travellers. Saturday

9am – Three Ropes Espresso

Coffee Coffee Coffee! Start your day with a caffeine hit at the little laneway café Three Ropes Espresso. Perch on one of their outdoor chairs and soak in their hipster charm, excellent old school soundtrack and impressive laneway murals.

10am – Circa Espresso

If you are after granola and chai, or coffee and eggs Circa has all the breakfast essentials. Their menu is inspired by locally-sourced ingredients and their furnishings are the perfect mix of hip and homely.

11am – Labyrinth Escape Room

Escape rooms are the newest trend to hit Sydney and involve a puzzle game where groups of two or more must work together to unravel the mystery of a hidden room in 60 minutes. Get your friends together and test your problem solving skills. See how your primal instinct comes into play when you are locked in a room for just one hour. Find and use objects that help you through a range of logic and skills-based tasks.

2pm – MTV Beats + Eats

On Saturday November 21 make your way to Parramatta Park for MTV Beats + Eats. 7,500 festival goers, six main stage performances, 15 delicious food outlets, a licensed VIP bar and performances by DJ Havana Brown, Savage and Jesabel. This epic day of delicious food and free tunes kicks off ARIA Week in Sydney.

4pm – N2 Extreme Gelato

Have a rest from dancing and treat yourself to a delicious vanilla creme brulee or vanilla and honeycomb gelato from N2 Extreme Gelato who are one of the many impressive food vendors at MTV Beats + Eats.

7pm – Happy as Larry + Chef’s Gallery

Rest your legs and find a nice grassy spot to chow down on a meal from one of the many delicious options. If pizza is your preference try a Napoli style wood fired pizza from Happy as Larry and their impressive recycled twenty-foot converted shipping container, turned awesome food truck. Another great dinner option would be some prawn and pork wonton noodles and fresh noodle salads from Chef’s Gallery.

8pm – DJ Havana Brown

Get ready to dance the night away to DJ Havana Brown who headlines the festival as she takes to the main stage at MTV Beats + Eats.

Sunday

9am – Bourke Street Bakery Parramatta

Start your Sunday off with a coffee and pastry from Bourke Street Bakery’s newly opened Parramatta store.

11am – Wet & Wild Sydney

Just a short 10 minute drive from Parramatta, Wet ‘n’ Wild Sydney features amazing world first attractions, interactive ride technology and takes fun to a whole new level. Wet ‘n’ Wild Sydney is home to a never before seen range of slides and attractions including heart pumping thrills on the world’s tallest double Sky Coaster.

Parramatta Park is a short walk from Parramatta train station. Parramatta is easily accessible by train from the Blue Mountains, Newcastle, Canberra and Wollongong. Festival goers can take the scenic route by catching the ferry and lap up the sunshine on Parramatta River.
