It was game, set and match for Sydney during the United Cup from 28 December 2024 to 5 January 2025.
The world’s best tennis players participated in the third edition of the mixed team event. The group stage Sydney Olympic Park’s Ken Rosewall Arena ran from 28 December to 1 January 2025, with the quarterfinals from 2-3 January and two semifinals on 4 January, followed by the United Cup final on 5 January.
The United States secured the trophy in the thrilling final against Poland, while the world’s best tennis players took in the city’s sights throughout the tournament.
Highlights shared with millions of fans around the world included visits to Circular Quay, the Sydney Opera House, Taronga Zoo and Coogee's Wylie's Baths.
The United Cup, an ATP-WTA event presented in partnership with Tennis Australia, offers a minimum $15 million in prize money and 500 PIF ATP and WTA rankings points.
Supported proudly by Destination NSW, the tournament has become a staple on the NSW sporting calendar, with the excitement and atmosphere confirming Sydney’s undeniable position as the premier sporting destination of the Asia Pacific.
