Deputy Premier, Minister for Trade and Investment and Minister for Regional Infrastructure and Services Andrew Stoner attended a special ceremony to mark the occasion.

“I commend Qantas for the changes it has made to its domestic terminal three which will improve the experience for passengers travelling between Sydney and regional centres across NSW,” Mr Stoner said.

“The transition of QantasLink arrivals and departures to terminal three from terminal two will make it easier and more efficient for regional passengers making ongoing journeys aboard other Qantas domestic flights.”

Mr Stoner said the initiative was in line with activities undertaken through the NSW Government’s ground breaking $30 million three year partnership with Qantas, which seeks to promote Sydney and regional NSW to the world.

“Delivering on this partnership is a key element of the NSW Government’s strategy to increase tourism to NSW, providing a boost to our economy and helping to create more jobs,” Mr Stoner said.

“The partnership has a strong domestic component, aimed at encouraging more Australians to visit NSW and our regions for both business and leisure activities.

“There is no doubt that the new domestic terminal arrangements will enhance the visitor experience and deliver a streamlined service to all passengers.”
