Western Sydney is quickly becoming a stand-out global destination for meetings and events, with the Western Sydney Convention Centre (WSCC) and Panthers Precinct combining their offerings to create a premier, one-stop destination for corporate gatherings.

With more than 4000sqm of event space across the precinct, WSCC now brings together the best of all venues and experiences in the Panthers Precinct, designed specifically for conferences and events, with the ability to host up to 2800 people seated across the precinct and up to 10,000 in an exhibition-style set up.

The change comes ahead of a new international airport on its way in 2026.

Situated just a 21 minute drive from the Western Sydney Airport (WSI), 45 minutes from Sydney’s CBD, and at the foot of the Blue Mountains, the precinct is ready to welcome the anticipated influx of leisure and business travel to the area.

Flexible event spaces and leading facilities

This versatile event destination offers flexible spaces across 11 venues, with the region’s largest purpose-built convention centre, the WSCC, at its core.

The 1000-seat capacity conference venue, a cornerstone of the $110 million development that opened in 2023, is filled with natural light and a column-free design, adding to its architectural charm.

The WSCC features adaptable spaces that can transition easily with smart wall mechanics, complemented by breakout rooms, a pre-function bar and expansive outdoor terraces, ideal for both intimate and large-scale gatherings.

There is ample parking available across the precinct with more than 1600 car spots.

Unlocking entertainment and dining at the Panthers Precinct

Events now unlock the potential of the full Panthers Precinct, offering a range of unique activities and experiences that add an extra dimension to corporate events, from 17 dining and bar options across the precinct, including favourites such as Squires Terrace Bar and Alexander’s, to the iconic 900-seat Evan Theatre, as well as thrilling team-building experiences such as indoor skydiving at iFLY, Aqua Golf and Cables Wake Park.

Behind the precinct lies The Backyard, an expansive and versatile outdoor space that offers a blank canvas for events of all sizes.

Surrounded by greenery, it presents unique opportunities for larger-than-life experiences.

On the culinary events front, WSCC includes access to Executive Chef, John Pugliano (ex-Nobu in London, Eaton Hotel in Hong Kong and Fairmont Fujairah Beach Resort in Dubai), who brings his global experience and is known for his interactive live cooking stations, personalised chef experiences, and bespoke, locally sourced menus.

A look at Panthers Academy

As the current reigning NRL Premiers (including the last four consecutive times), the Panthers Penrith Leagues Club sits proudly in what is now known as the Panthers Precinct.

The new streamlined conference and events services now provide access to the Panthers Academy, which sits behind the club, and the only convention centre or event offering to have this kind of intimate insight.

Past and present players, health and wellbeing experts, coaches, and other key figures could be featured in the lineup of speakers, speaking about leadership strategies, team dynamics, sports science, and health and wellness.

The first five-star hotel in Penrith

Perfectly catering to local, interstate and international residential conferences, the adjoining 152-room Pullman Sydney Penrith boasts an exquisite, state-of-the-art design inspired by the nearby Nepean River.

The elevated hotel features advanced in-room sleep therapy menus, a fitness centre and sauna, and an array of dining options from the modern European restaurant Marcel Bar & Bistro to contemporary day-to-night bar Tori.

State-of-the-art-technology and event planning

The event destination is equipped for all kinds of meetings and events, with dedicated loading docks and vehicle access for indoor displays. With its leading technology, high-speed Wi-Fi, and on-site event planning and management teams, the WSCC aims to offer everything needed for any type of event.

General Manager Charles Young said: "As we prepare for the WSI opening and tackle the international market, it made perfect sense to refine our offering and align the WSCC and Panthers Precinct as a one-stop destination for domestic and international MICE programs.

"By combining the WSCC's state-of-the-art facilities with the precinct's unique experiences, we've created a truly unforgettable destination.

"From exclusive access to sporting legends, fine cuisine, and a location right at the foot of the Blue Mountains, there’s nowhere else in the world with this type of offering and there are truly endless possibilities at the conference organisers' fingertips.

"This new chapter for the precinct aims to bring meetings and events to the forefront of Western Sydney, with the precinct team equally committed to playing a pivotal role in putting the region on the global map."
