Destination NSW is joining with Cricket Australia to deliver international men’s and women’s cricket matches in Sydney in 2025-26, reinforcing the city’s reputation as the home of iconic sporting experiences.

Three matches will be played at the Sydney Cricket Ground, including the Men’s Australia versus India one-day international on 25 October 2025, the NRMA Insurance Men’s Ashes from 4-8 January 2026 and the Women’s Australia versus India T20I on 15 February 2026.

Attendance records set during last summer’s Border-Gavaskar Trophy Series will be under threat when fans flock to see Pat Cummins’ Australians defend the Ashes trophy they have held since 2017-18 against Ben Stokes’ England.

Destination NSW is providing marketing and partnership support for the matches, which will bring visitors from around Australia and the world to experience the best of Sydney, providing a major boost to local businesses, hotels, restaurants and attractions.

Parliamentary Secretary for Transport and Member for Coogee Dr Marjorie O’Neill MP joined Cricket Australia Chief Commercial Officer Ed Sanders, Cricket NSW CEO Lee Germon, Australian women’s national team Captain Alyssa Healy and Australian cricketer Nathan Lyon to announce the 2025-26 schedule.

Cricket Australia CEO Todd Greenberg said: “We are excited to announce the schedule for what will be another incredible international season including the grand history and intense rivalry of the Ashes and the fantastic box office appeal of the India men's and women’s teams.

“We smashed many records for attendance, viewing audiences and digital engagement last summer and we’re confident that this incredible momentum will continue throughout what promises to be an engrossing season.”

The international ticket pre-sale for fans who have registered begins on June 3, 2025, while general public tickets will go on sale on 13 June 2025. Fans can register for the pre-sale here.
