The Caravan & Camping Industry Association NSW Caravan (CCIA NSW) has announced that its Chief Operating Officer Wayne Lange will succeed current CEO Lyndel Gray.
Ms Gray announced in February that she was stepping down after 13 years in the role.
The CCIA NSW Board said that after an extensive recruitment process and more than 100 applications it was confident Mr Lange was the ideal leader to guide the association into the future.
Mr Lange brings a wealth of industry knowledge and expertise to the role, having spent over 25 years in the broader tourism sector and more than 13 years leading CCIA NSW's operations as the peak body for caravan and camping, land lease living and manufactured housing.
The CCIA NSW Board said his experience and relationships with members have equipped him with a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities the industry faces.
"In addition to his industry expertise, Wayne is well respected by the Board and the team for his exceptional leadership skills," CCIA NSW said.
"Approachable and collaborative, he has a proven track record of driving our organisational success through implementing our strategic vision, digital innovation, and his commitment to excellence. Wayne will be invaluable in strengthening our association and advancing our mission.
Mr Lange said: "I’m incredibly excited to lead the association and work with our members to get stuck in to tackling the challenges ahead. Lyndel has left an amazing legacy, and I’m looking forward to building on her incredible efforts.
"A big congratulations to Wayne. We are excited about the future under his leadership and look forward to the positive impact he will undoubtedly make."
Mr Lange's appointment as CEO will be effective from 3 May 2025.
